Overview

What happens when prog-rock royalty, a particle physicist, a Blur drummer, and a space scientist walk into an immersive theatre? You get a documentary as wild and wonderful as it sounds. Liquid Crimson joined forces with TwinV to co-produce Life on Mars, an hour-long mini documentary exploring human curiosity, creativity, and our obsession with the red planet. Filmed inside The War of the Worlds immersive experience, the documentary explores humanity’s fascination with Mars through the voices of artists and experts alike.

Execution

We captured and edited cinematic interviews with a cast of global icons, including a home tour and a personal sit-down with Jeff Wayne. Filming took place across two locations, with a moody, dramatic tone that echoed the spirit of exploration and creativity at the heart of the project.

Results

The documentary premiered alongside a campaign celebrating Jeff Wayne’s musical legacy and the cultural impact of The War of the Worlds. With 4 Global Megastars Jeff Wayne, Brian Cox, Rou Reynolds, Dave Rowntree and 2 Mars experts Mark McCaughrean (ESA), Dr Sara Russell (Natural History Museum).
